Compliance of the Deemed to be University in response to MHRD's order No. F.4-30/2009-U.I(A) dated 17th July, 2009 and UGC Letter No. F. 6-1(7)/2006(CPP-I) dated 7th August, 2009 for Disclosure of Information in Public Interest.

2. Self-Financing Institution

  Jain University is a self-financing Institution. The University does not receive any grants-in-aid from either the Central Government or the State Government or by any agency assisted by the Central Government or State Government.

3. Jain University Admissions

a) Tenets of Admission Policy:
   
  The 3 tenets of the Jain University admission policy are:

Provision of equal opportunity irrespective of region, gender, religion or nationality
Merit based admissions
Reservation of seats for SC / ST / OBC / other categories as per Karnataka Government guidelines
   
b) Criteria for Admissions

Jain University presently offers all its programmes in Regular Mode. The University does not offer programmes in Distance Mode. The criteria prescribed for admission varies from one programme to another. Click here to know the eligibility criteria for programmes offered by Jain University.
   
c) Intake for various programmes

Intake for various programmes is fixed each year by the academic council of the university. Student intake for the year 2009-10.

5. Fee Structure

a) For programmes where fees are mandated by the State Government
   
  For BE and MBA programmes, fees charged for all seats (including management quota) is as mandated by the State Government.

b) For other programmes where fees are self - determined, the following basis is used:
   
  Actual running cost plus 25% towards developmental activities including research, outreach activities, students skill development, co - curricular activities, library, internet, sports etc.

c) Procedure:
   
  The Executive Council, after considering the cost structure of the University and the direct costs of the programmes recommends the fees to be charged in respect of programmes where fees are self-determined.

7. Distance Education Programmes
