Careers & Placement Services
The Placement Cell has been constituted specially to strengthen the industry-institution linkage and is very unique in its operations. It provides placement assistance and support services to the students. It also includes counseling for the students in area of academics, careers, jobs, further studies, extra and co-curricular activities, sports, games, fests, Industry-Interface activities etc., to bring out the best talent from the students. Placement record has seen a very sharp increase in the past two years. In the PG stream nearly 700 students in 2007 and a 300 in 2007-08 got placed in reputed companies.
The School of Engineering and Technology also provides Placement Assistance and counseling services to students. Guest lectures from industry experts are arranged for final year students to know career opportunities in various fields. The training for communication skills are arranged with proper schedule for the students starting from First Semester during their vacations. Soft skills, Aptitude and technical training relevant to their branches are regularly arranged for the students.
There is a centralized Counseling Centre for the University which caters to all the academic Units of the University.
The career & placement services provide unbiased information, advice and guidance to help students understand themselves and the employment market and then plan and prepare for their future by developing suitable career related skills & knowledge. It aims to help students find a career that uses their unique skills & individual experience to the fullest.
