Animal Welfare Day

Jain University in association with The Golden Husk, an NGO is conducting an Animal Camp as well as a Mela for cattle and live stock at Somanahalli village on Sunday 4 th October 2009 from 9.30 am to 2 pm, which is dedicated as Animal Welfare Day.
The Golden Husk is an initiative towards promoting rural tourism and empowering the locals. The Golden Husk was started to advocate and promote inter cultural learning across cultures and communities.
The activities include:

The event will be inaugurated by the Panchayat of Somanahalli Village, Dr. Shashidhar, Deputy Director of Rural Animal Husbandry Department and Dr. Chandrasekhar.
