Intra-Directorate Trek To Antar Gange

NCC cadets of 1/9 COY, 9 KAR BN of Jain University organized “Intra-Directorate Trek” To Antar Gange, Kolar District on 18th September 2010.
They successfully trekked for a distance of 15 km over the Antar Gange Ranges. On reaching the top they visited the village, where they spread the importance of literacy among the villagers and also distributed food. The main motto of the trek was to “Energize the spirit in the youth to join the armed forces, to inculcate the spirit of adventure among the cadets and to spread the importance of literacy”.
The main aim of the trek is to inculcate a spirit of adventure, exploration, inquisitiveness and practical investigation amongst the cadets.
The cadets also observed and admired nature very closely during the trek. The trek was also intended to promote national integration by way of living together, sharing the culture and knowledge of various religions, food and the spirit of comradeship during hardship.
