Sapling Plantation Drive by NCC

1/9 Coy, 9 Kar Bn NCC (SW) cadets of Jain University organised sapling plantation drive at the Jain International Residential Campus.

The plantation drive was part of a massive initiative ‘My Earth My Duty' that was launched to mark the World Environment Day. The First sapling was planted by Commander Col. G P Alok Guha, Commander Lt. Col. Nilesh Karia of 9 Kar BN, Col. Shekawat and Dr. B T Venkatesh - Principal Jain College, Jayanagar also planted few saplings along with N C C cadets.

G P Commander Col. Alok Guha urged the cadets to plant more and more sapling to keep environment clean and green. The build-up event intends to spread awareness amongst youth involving citizens and opinion-makers. It includes planting of saplings and administering a pledge to plant trees.

N C C Cadets of Jain University and Jain International Residential school students planted 1000 saplings of various medicine and flowering plants in the Jain International Residential School campus. Cadets planted the saplings enthusiastically.
