Dr Sandeep Shastri, Pro Vice Chancellor, Jain University and Director of its Centre for Research in Social Sciences and Education (CERSSE) has been invited as an International Consultant to advice South Sudan in the framing of its new constitution. South Sudan is due to gain independence as a new nation on 9th July 2011. The country is in the process of framing a constitution for itself. Dr Shastri led a consultation workshop on the process was held in Juba (the capital of what will be South Sudan) from 18th to 20th May 2011.
