A guest lecture on "Introduction to Cyber Forensics"

A guest lecture was organized by the Student Career Advisory & Placement Services(S-CAPS). The speaker of the day was Dr. Harsha. E. Thennarasu - CEO of HK IT Solutions. He addressed the students of B.Sc. and M.Sc. Forensic Science on the topic "Introduction to Cyber Forensics".

He started off by interacting with students and discussing about the impacts of committing a cybercrime. He introduced and explained about certain forensic tools that are very important during a cybercrime. Confidential cybercrime cases were discussed with the students which helped them in gaining knowledge.

At the end of the session, Dr. Harsha explained how evidences are collected during cybercrimes, format of a forensic report, zero day attack and other forensic codes.
