Whether you want to make the media or change them, this course offered by Center for Management Studies will give you the necessary practical and critical skills. By building your media literacy and competencies, you'll not only gain a greater understanding of the world, but also develop important intellectual and transferable skills, so enhancing your employability. You'll gain experience of both traditional and new media formats in one of the country's best learning and teaching environments. This course aims to produce confident, motivated graduates who are able to think for them and manage complex problems.
The strong influence that media holds over people’s life has also attracted many to start a career in Media & Entertainment. The business opportunities in Indian media and entertainment industry are enormous. There is untapped potential along with the good creativity talent. Good economy, FDI inflow, higher per capita income are the main reasons, because of which new media industries are opening up, thus giving good career in media industry.
Media and entertainment has various departments that you can fit yourself in such as marketing, technical, designing, managerial, editing, scaling, anchoring, acting, composing, directing, producing, editing and so on. One can work as a technical officer, Director, art director, general manager, print officer, supervisor, publication officer, reader, producer, editor, writer, stylist etc. You can for companies like Times of India, Hindustan Times, Tribune, Elle, Vogue, Motion Pictures, and news channels like Aaj Tak, IBN7, Times Now and all other entertainment channels or production houses like Illuminati, Yash Raj Films etc.
The minimum qualification required to apply is a pass in the 10+2 examination in Science/ Commerce/ Arts from PUC / ISC / CBSE or equivalent board.

On this course you will encounter a balance of formal examinations and varied methods of coursework assessment including:
Semester I & II
- Graphic Design & Photography - 2 hrs practical training by professional trainers per week
Semester III & IV
- Certified Program in advertising & PR - Certification by the JU-CMS and an accredited Ad agency
Semester V & VI
- Practical training - 5 days in a week in chosen electives
