Why take this course?

Globalization of business is a reality and it is going to remain that way - no matter which Government assumes office, whether you are a local or a multinational business, whether you belong to the public or private sector, or whether you are a corporate enterprises or a non-profit organization. An international business education can be the backbone for economic, political and social systems at all levels. And most jobs in international business will be done in one’s own community where the employee has to deal with a representative in another country who will liaise between the employee and the firm’s ultimate consumers. This course aims at preparing students to work in such an environment that requires people, who do not only have the basics of management, but also understand how to move in a diverse, multicultural world.

These skills are in the areas of international business strategy, management, marketing, human resources, technology and the business processes required for public and private organizations effectively work in today’s global marketplace.

There is plenty you can do with an international business degree, as there are a growing number of international business career opportunities for those trained in this field. International business graduates have the skills required and cultural understanding necessary to succeed in a global business environment.

Graduates of international business programs may choose to pursue international business careers, such as International Account Executive, International Bank Manager or International Business Analyst, or they may decide to pursue careers outside of their field. With the knowledge, skills and competencies they acquire, the career path possibilities are numerous.

In addition to preparation for international business careers, an undergraduate international business education also prepares students for advanced academic study, such as study in an MBA program.
