Genetics is an intriguing branch of biology which deals with the study of genes carrying information and determines the inheritance of the features in living organisms. Biochemistry is a study of molecular science that deals with living processes by considering an organism’s biological molecules like their functions and interactions with themselves as well as the molecules in the environment. Biotechnology is a combination of biology and technology which deals with the aspects of using living systems ranging from microorganisms to macroscopic systems for the benefit of human kind.

  • Specialize in the field of Environmental and Agricultural biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, Recombinant DNA technology, Bioinformatics, Proteomics, Biostatistics, Intellectual property rights, Enzyme technology and plant tissue culture.
  • Will be able to explore varied topics like History, Mendelian and Classical genetics, Molecular genetics, Features of inheritance, Molecular basis for inheritance, Gene expression, Genetic changes and DNA sequencing, Genomics and Gene therapy.
  • Biochemistry approaches to understand life and death, how cells can be turned into bio-factories, how to make improved crops, how trillions of cells assemble to form a life, why we get old and what causes diseases.
