Welcome Note

Col (Hony.) Dr. N Sundararajan

Vice Chancellor, Jain University

The practice of holding convocation is as old as the history of education. During the ancient times, reference comes in Taittireeya Upanishad, a part of Yajurveda, where convocation address for those getting Vedic education has been pre-defined.

The Convocation is an important academic function of an institution, where the students and teachers assemble to confer degree on successful candidates and also gives them a parting message to practice their knowledge and skills in the best interest of the Society and the Nation.

Jain University constantly strives to build on its four major fronts Leadership, Innovative Entrepreneurship, Research and Training, Sports. The journey in accomplishing excellence in these fields has been quite momentous. Over the years, Jain University has seen many transformations and accomplishments in the student fraternity.

The 7th Annual Convocation represents a changing moment in the lives of our graduates, marking another milestone for this University. I take this opportunity to congratulate and urge our graduates to keep in mind the teachings of their alma mater.

We are proud to send our new graduates off to the world as trained and motivated citizens from the world of learning and scholarship.
