Workshop on Certified Fire Forensic Program (CFFP)

Fire and Combustion Research Center of Jain University in collaboration with UL-India organized a five-day workshop on Certified Fire Forensic Program (CFFP) from 11 December to 15 December 2017 in the college premises. CFFP is designed for a niche target group such as architect/equipment specifiers, code authorities, fire fighting product designers, and product managers, fire/risk engineering staff, fire service personnel including risk analysts and system integrators.

The course covered following four major topics related to fire investigations and forensics:

  • NFPA 1033: Standard for professional qualifications for Fire Investigator
  • NFPA 921 guides for fire and explosion investigations
  • Determining the cause and origin of fire along with understanding of fire and smoke patterns
  • Burn tests and a live demonstration of flame and smoke spread patterns

Upon successfully completing the online course examination, participants name will be published on the UL.com program website.

Note: The next CFFP program is scheduled for 5 – 9 November 2018 at the premises of Fire and Combustion Research Center of Jain University.
