The quality and standard of University education system largely depends on the quality, character, and commitment of the lecturers to their profession. Faculty Development Program (FDP) at Jain (Deemed-to-be University) prepares the lecturers with a sound and solid foundation of theoretical knowledge, skills, attitudes, and interests that will enhance their aptitude for teaching. It conducts various capacity building and refresher courses for the teaching faculty and aims to provide the background and skills necessary for faculty members to participate positively in the academic activities of the University. With a vision to make Jain (Deemed-to-be University) a more welcoming and diverse institution not only for our students but the society at large, we aim to attract the most able and creative community of scholars and nurture their development.

Department of Commerce, School of Commerce Studies, Jain University organizes a two day Faculty Development Program on “Research Methods using SPSS”. Dr. Vinod Kumar Murti, Academic Head, Financial Services, iNurture Education Solutions Pvt. Ltd was the resource person for the workshop. Dr. Murti explained the concept and suitability of univariate and multivariate tools for research and made the faculty apply them on given data set using SPSS. The faculty thus learned to work on SPSS and apply appropriate research tools considering research objectives and nature of available data.
The School of Commerce and Management hosted a workshop for faculty members on the topic “Marketing is dead! Long live marketing!”. The traditional notions of marketing were challenged in this enthralling workshop by R Lakshminarayan, the CLO of iNurture Education Solutions Pvt Ltd. New modes of web-based communications and web-connected consumers redefine the role of marketing in an unprecedented manner. The workshop shed light on the complexities that marketers faced in the present era and offered meaningful solutions to it.

School of Graduate Studies, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) conducted a Faculty Development Program for UG lecturers. There were two sessions on all the days; a general session for all the faculty members followed by subject oriented sessions. Subject oriented sessions on each day were conducted separately for Physical Sciences; Life Sciences and Chemistry; Forensic Sciences; BCA, ISMS and Computer Science; Arts and Languages. School of Commerce and Management Studies, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) summed up the basics and the industrial elements of the balance sheets domain through a special faculty development program.
