Self-harm behaviors among youth is a growing concern and often pose difficulty in detection and prevention. A population based study has found that, almost one among twelve youth inflicts self-harm injuries. It is a global health concern. Delving into reasons of self-harm behaviors and coping strategies has become the need of the hour.
In order to address this, a guest lecture has been organized by Vishwas Counseling Center of Jain (Deemed-to-be University) at School of Graduate Studies by Dr Poornima Bhola, Associate Professor and Consultant, Department of Clinical Psychology, NIMHANS.
