A Session on “Role of the Judiciary in Protecting Fundamental Rights”

School of Law and Governance, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) organized a session on “Role of judiciary in protecting fundamental rights” by Prof. Upadhyay, Professor of Eminence, Teerthanker Mahaveer University, and Former District Judge on 13 March 2019 at JGI Knowledge Campus for LLM students.

The Former Legal Advisor for 3 UP Governors, Prof. Upadhyay said, “Law is ever-evolving, ever-changing field. The law which is there yesterday, will not be there tomorrow. Hence, latest update on the law is need of the hour.”

Speaking on the topic, he also said, “Fundamental rights and the human rights are the two faces of same coin. In India, only the constitution rules the nation. It doesn’t confer fundamental rights but only confirms their existence and protects them.
