Hence economists have the privilege in their hands in shaping the future of the world. The number of young economists being produced by the shrinking number of center’s of excellence is far from adequate to meet the rapid growth of demand for high-quality professionals from the public and private sectors, in addition to meeting the needs of universities for teaching and research. It is in this context that Jain University came forward to establish PG department of Economics in 2009.
