Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for pursuing a master’s degree are holding a bachelor's degree in B.E (CSE/ISE)/B.Tech (CSE/ISE) or any other equivalent branches of engineering. The duration for this course is 2 years.

Curriculum Structure & Teaching

I Semester
  • It will have two laboratories (Food Microbiology and Food Chemistry)
  • Four theory subjects (Food Chemistry, Food Microbiology, Nutritional Biochemistry and Food Packaging Technology)
  • One optional subject to be chosen from Functional Foods and Nutraceuticals or Aromatic and Medicinal Plants.
II Semester
  • It will have two laboratories (Food Processing & Biotechnological Methods and Food Processing)
  • Four theory subjects (Fruit and Vegetable Technology, Grain Processing and Baking Technology, Enzyme and Fermentation Technology, Food Process Engineering-I)
  • One optional subject to be chosen from Plantation Products, Spices and Flavor Technology or Water and Beverage Technology.
III Semester
  • It will have three theory subjects (Food Process Engineering – II, Food Analysis, Safety and Quality control and Dairy Technology)
  • Training (Food Analysis and Quality control & Food Processing – II)); internship at industry or research organizations.
  • Value addition program through interaction with industry personnel and visits to food industries.
IV Semesters
  • This semester is fully dedicated for the project work either at industry or research organization.
