Prajwal Devaraj is an Indian film actor who made his debut with the Kannada film Sixer in 2007 for which he won the Best Debut Actor award at the Suvarna Film Awards. The 30-year-old charming actor has also acted in the gangster drama Geleya which became a box-office hit in 2007. Because of the success of his debut movies, he was flooded with offers from many directors.
Son of the veteran actor Devaraj who is known as "Dynamic Hero" of the cinema, Prajwal is also touted as the 'handsome hero' of Sandalwood. Despite belonging to an influential family, he made a mark on his own terms and established himself as one of the leading contemporary actors in Kannada film industry. His notable films include Meravanige (2008), Gulama (2009), Murali Meets Meera (2011), Super Shastri (2013) and Galaate (2013).
Prajwal completed his bachelor's degree course at Jain University's Center for Management Studies, Bangalore. “I have inherited acting from my father. I took up acting and I have been recognized as an upcoming actor in the film industry. I want to become a director. But my dad suggested me to concentrate on acting and become a successful actor and then look into direction,” said the young sensation of Kannada film industry.
In 2013, Prajwal with his father's assistance launched their own production house under the banner name 'Dynamic Visions'. The aspiring actor has proved his mettle on screen by acting in different genres of film ranging from romance and comedy to action.
