Taking The Myanmar Project Forward9 May 2016
Dr. Sandeep Shastri, Pro Vice Chancellor, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) led a group of International Resource Persons at two Training Programs held at Yangon in Myanmar in April 2016. Under the auspices of the Forum of Federations which has received a grant from the Canadian Foreign Ministry for a Program on Capacity Building for Transition to Democracy and Federalism, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) has an MOU with the Forum of Federations to second Dr. Sandeep Shastri as a Senior Adviser to lead the Training Programs.
The two Training Programs lasting for five days each, was organized in Yangon, for trainers who will take forward the training program on Democracy, Federalism and Decentralization in a series of Cascading Workshops. The first training workshop was with Bayda Institute who had brought together 25 enthusiastic trainers who are associated with the NLD. The second training workshop was with EBO-Myanmar, which works in the ethnic states of Myanmar. They had also brought together over twenty trainers who had already conducted the training programs and were given advanced training to take forward the cascading workshops.
