Robotics is a field of engineering that deal with design and application of robots and the use of a computer for their manipulation and processing. Robots are used in industries for speeding up the manufacturing process. They are also used in the field of nuclear science, sea-exploration, servicing of transmission electric signals, designing of bio-medical equipment etc. Robotics requires the application of computer integrated manufacturing, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, biological mechanics, software engineering. Automation and Robotics Engineering is the use of control systems and information technologies to reduce the need for human work in the production of goods and services. In the scope of industrialization, automation is a step beyond mechanization.

Eligibility

Pass in PUC / 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronics as one of the subjects and obtained at least 60% marks (55% in case of SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.

B.Tech. Lateral Entry

The candidate should have a diploma or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university or institution (approved by DTE) with 45% marks (40% in case of SC / ST) in the final year examination. They are also required to clear the prescribed subjects as specified by Jain University.
