Current Students

Is the University closed?

The University had notified the closing of all campuses of the University until 28th March 2020. However, keeping in view the recent notification of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, and the closure of campuses shall continue till further notice. However, student engagement of the Schools / Centers / Departments of the University continues online.


Will faculty provide the study materials?

All the study materials will be uploaded by the respective faculty in the Learning Management System. Students are encouraged to download them time-to-time.


How and when can I get in touch with my faculty?

The faculty will be available during the working hours for all kinds of academic support required by the students. You may call, message, or whatsapp your concerned faculty.


What will happen to my assessments / assignments?

Internal Assessment / Continuous Assessment components including assignments, tests and so on are being administered online. Please follow the instructions / guidelines given by your School / Centre by mail / mobile communication / LMS or through any other means of communication.


When will the University examination be conducted?

The UG Exams (other than B.Tech) and MBA Exams which were scheduled to start in the first week of April are postponed till further notice from the University. The time table with the revised dates will be communicated well in advance by your concerned School / Center / Department.


Is the University cancelling all events?

Yes, all the University events have been cancelled / postponed till further notice.


How can I access library resources?

Jain (Deemed-to-be University) library will cease in-person operations until further notice to support the goal of social distancing across campus, in order to protect the health and well-being of all members of the University community. The University extensively encourages all the students to use online resources and materials to widen their course knowledge.


I stay in the hostel. Should I cancel my personal travel plans because of coronavirus?

Owing to the current scenario, all personal international / domestic travel must be avoided.

How will I know when I can come back to campus?

Though the current lockdown has been extended to 17th May 2020 as per MHA, Government of India's current notification, students are requested to await further instructions regarding the opening of campuses. Meanwhile all courses, both graduate and undergraduate, will continue to be conducted online till further notice from the University. For further information, you can get in touch with your School / Center / Department and the same will be posted here as soon as they are available.


What will happen to my classes this semester?

For Undergraduate Programs (excluding B.Tech) of the University and for the MBA program, where portions for the current Even semesters are complete, revision classes, if any, and Internal Assessment Components, if any, are being completed online through the Learning Management System (LMS) and virtual learning platforms. Students are advised to diligently fulfill their obligations.

For B.Tech. and Postgraduate Programs (other than MBA), online classes have been arranged through virtual learning platforms, supplemented with content hosted on LMS. Please check your email / mobile phones / LMS for instructions from the Schools / Centers / Departments of the University.


How will I be intimated on my examination?

You will receive a time table with the revised dates from your Center / School / Department.
