Jain (Deemed-to-be University) School of Commerce is hosting an International Conference on ‘‘Redefining Human Resource and Marketing Management Perspectives’ on 28th February 2020 at JGI Knowledge Campus, Jayanagar, Bengaluru.
The conference aims to shed a light on the changing role of HR and Marketing in an age that brings advanced technologies like Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence while providing a platform for policymakers, practitioners, academicians, researchers, and students to present their ideas and innovative practices.
This one-day event will also be a platform for fostering the exchange of thoughts between practicing HR managers, marketing managers, and academicians.
Jain (Deemed-to-be University) School of Commerce is hosting the 4th International Conference on Emerging Global Trends in Accounting, Finance, and Taxation on 27th February 2020 at the JGI Knowledge Campus at Jayanagar in Bengaluru.
The goal of this conference is to incubate and develop rigorous, relevant research in the field of accounting, finance, and taxation while reflecting on some of the major opportunities and challenges like the evolving smart and digital technology practices in businesses, continued globalization of reporting/disclosure standards and new forms of regulation. The conference will provide a platform for renowned academicians and practitioners from these fields and other related disciplines to engage in intellectual discourse, deliberate, analyze and suggest measures in facing challenges and harnessing the benefits of digital transformation.
Jain (Deemed-to-be University) School of Sciences, Departments of Bio-Technology has organized an open day on the 25th of February 2020 to commemorate National Science Day, dedicated to the powerful women in science and honoring their enriching contributions to the field. The National Science Day 2020 will be celebrated with a theme titled “Women in Science”.
UG students from colleges across the city are welcome to visit the School of Sciences – Block 1 campus at Jayanagar in Bangalore between 09:30 AM to 04:00 PM.
The event promises to offer a glimpse into the exciting arena of science and research to the visitors with a brief tour of various labs at the institute and an opportunity to know more about the exciting projects and subjects by the faculty and the students. A brainstorming session with M.Phil. and Ph.D. scholars have also been organized.

The fascinating science fest is in town again!
Jain (Deemed-to-be University) School of Sciences will be hosting the most inspirational and empowering event of the year– Oculus 2020 on the 12th and 13th of February.
This state-level annual intercollegiate science exhibition, conducted by the science forum Nucleus, is going to be a melting pot of versatile activities that spans over 2 exciting days. Organized with a focus to enhance scientific knowledge and encourage crucial skills like problem-solving attitude and critical thinking, this one-of-its-kind fest facilitates students to come together and celebrate the wonders of science.
Centre for Research in Social Sciences and Education (CERSSE), Jain (Deemed-to-be University) and Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) have jointly organized a two-day conference on Governance and Gender Parity: Prospects and Challenges, commencing on the 8th of February 2020.
The conference has called for paper presentations on gender equality to deliberate on the state of governance and processes which bring in gender parity and also shed a light on many struggles faced by women in areas of safety, disparity in pay and a lower percentage of participation in the workforce as compared to the global average.
Over the years, Ecothon has become synonymous with providing a niche platform for students from all disciplines across the nation. Conducted by the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Jain (Deemed-to-be University), the two-day annual event provides an opportunity for both undergraduates and postgraduate students around the country to be part of an amalgamation of economics, business, politics, conceptions, convictions and an immense amount of fun. Being one of the biggest Economics festivals in the University, the society prides itself in perpetually introducing thought-provoking events that can engage people from all fields. The core objective of the fest is to bring students across the country to a common platform to showcase their knowledge in the area of economics, compete, achieve and succeed. The fest demands students to be aware of the economics of everyday life, its application, recent crisis and challenges that the country is facing and measures to be taken to avoid the economic crisis.
The Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences (CSFS), a professional body that represents Forensic Sciences worldwide will be conducting its third-year Surveillance Visit on 3rd to 7th February 2020.
Jain (Deemed-to-be University) is the only Indian university to be accredited by the Chartered Society of Forensic Science (UK), to offer a B.Sc Forensic Science (Honors) program. The team regularly visits the campus to ensure that the department caters to the global standards concerning the course.
Mr. Peter Ellis, Assessor from Chartered Society of Forensic Science (CSFS) will be visiting the campus to accredit the program. He was the Metropolitan Police Service Directorate of Forensic Services and began his career as a Scene of Crime Officer in 1980. He was also the Editor of CSEye Magazine and is a member of the Editorial Board for Science & Justice.
Mr. Peter Ellis is an approved assessor for the Certificate in Professional Competence (CPC) - Crime Scene Investigation and the Pre-Employment Assessment of Competence (PEAC) schemes. He is currently working as a director at Fast Track Development Ltd, a consultancy and learning solution provider.
Conduction of Master Class & Workshops:
Master class and workshops will be conducted from 3rd to 7th February 2020 for the faculty members and students of B.Sc. Forensic Science (Hon). The resource person for the master class is Ms. April Robson.
Ms. April has extensive experience in developing, leading, and training courses for forensic scientists, at laboratory entry and MSc level both in the UK and many other countries. She also specializes in the forensic examination of items for body fluids / DNA, footwear and trace evidence. She has an excellent record of accomplishment as a forensic practitioner and has worked within these disciplines for over 30 years. She has been a part of many high-profile cases, particularly historic re-investigations. Additionally, she has a wealth of experience in developing, writing, implementing, and maintaining SOP's for both ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 accreditation and has recently qualified as an auditor for ISO 17025:2017.
Kritya, the cultural extravaganza of the School of Sciences, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) has stepped into its grand sixth year.
The inter-collegiate mega-event focuses on refining the student's personalities and providing them with a platform to foster their talents constructively. Taking place over two days, Kritya is a culmination of different events and activities such as Aircrash, Fashion show, Mad Ads, Beat Boxing, Singing and many more for students to put their best foot forward in the most enthralling and graceful way.
Kritya is all set to take you on yet another rollercoaster ride and let the radiance of the fest unfold in all its glory.
Alumni are the brand ambassadors of the University who work towards its betterment. While they are successfully leading their professional lives, this platform offers them an area to interact, express opinions, exchange knowledge. To encourage a sense of community among alumni, while supporting connectedness back to the University, Alumni Meet is organized on 26 January 2020 at Jain (Deemed-to-be University).
