Department of Sociology at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences is hosting a webinar on “Multiculturalism in Education” on 26 September 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:50 AM. Father M.T. Joseph, Faculty - Department of Sociology, University of Mumbai, will be the keynote speaker for the session.
India is a land of vibrant ethnicity with one of the oldest cultures in the world. Hence a multicultural education is the need of the hour. Curriculums infused with multicultural education can play a vital role in boosting academic success and prepare students to become productive global citizens of the future.
The session will also shed light on the different dimensions of ‘multiculturalism’ and discuss the origins of the concept in Europe, Canada, and the US.
