JU-SET’s department of Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics and Electronics & Communication Engineering jointly and in collaboration with TI University Program organizing a week long Faculty Development Program on Internet of Things (IoT) from 24 to 30 January 2018 in the college premises.
The main objective of the program is to form a bridge between the industry and academic institutions to update their knowledge. To impart the basic concepts and techniques to the budding technical teachers of all the engineering colleges in India. It is useful to enhance their skills for academic growth and also to make them conducive for research activity in the field of the internet of things.
The program provides insights into the topics mentioned below which will impart a good understanding of latest issues related to the internet of things.
IOT: Internet basics, IoT ecosystem, Application areas.
Networking Basics: Understand the Network Protocol
Data Exchange over the Network: Understand Sockets and Ports, Client-Server Communication Paradigm TCP/IP and UDP, Client and Server class APIs
Embedded Web Server: HTTP Server, elements of HTTP message, getting started with HTML, Serving Web pages that respond to user input
Application Implementation-I: MQTT Protocol, Overview of MQTT Protocol and its use in IoT
Application Implementation-II: Design of IoT based Rash Driving Alert System
