The Department of Commerce, School of Commerce Studies, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) is organizing an ECONOTIZ – an intra-collegiate Economics event and Inauguration of ECOSPIRE- The Economic Society on 27 July 2017 from 1pm to 2pm in the campus premises.
The Chief Guest of the event will be Prof. Naveen Kumar, Principal, Jain College, Vasavi Temple Road, V.V.Puram.
The main objective of the event is to enhance students’ academic performance through activity based learning method. The first year students of Commerce and Management discipline will be participating in the event where in students will be allotted different states and they have to perform a detailed analysis of the Economy and present a report on the same.
At the juncture, Inauguration of “ECOSPIRE - The Economics Society" of School of Commerce campus will also take place.
The Economics Society is a student committee that engages undergraduate students and faculty of Commerce Department at School of Commerce in discussing current economic events, offers a series of panel discussions, events, faculty lectures, and social events throughout the year. The objective is to enrich the experience of students at UG Commerce Department, stimulate discussion and interest in current research and issues in economics, and offer opportunities extending learning outside the classroom
