Jain (Deemed-to-be University) ’s JUiNCUBATOR is organizing “National Makeathon” on 3 and 4 October 2018. This event is 36-hour design, coding, and implementation marathon. It is an initiative executed by JUiNCUBATOR, to enable the maker community of India, to drive the technology innovation for semiconductor and electronic systems industry. This provides an opportunity where, students, developers, freelancers, hobbyists and professionals across the country to develop prototypes of their ideas in various fields such as Smart Communications, Agri Tech, Water Management, Urban Traffic, Smart Cars/Vehicles, Robotics, Waste Management, Education, Surveillance / Security, Medical / Health, Smart Communications, Industry challenge to positively impact the society.
The last edition of Makeathon was conducted only at Bengaluru and was a great success. This year, Makeathon is conducted in 5-cities across India – Bengaluru, New Delhi, Chennai, Pune and Warangal during October and November 2018 and the Grand Finale will be conducted at New Delhi on 14 December 2018.
More than 150 teams from Startups and academia are participating throughout the country. Shortlisted 30 teams have been invited to the Bangalore edition and the candidates will be mentored by domain experts from Industry to build their solutions. The participants will get an opportunity such as Industry Connects, Market Access, Incubation Support, Academia Connects, Access to Govt. Funds and Mentor-ship Programs. The event provides an opportunity to win cash prizes and other goodies worth Rs 3,00,000/-.
