School of Humanities and Social Sciences is hosting a national webinar on the newly announced National Education Policy on 28th August 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Dr. Devi Singh, Former Vice-Chancellor and Member, Governing Body at FLAME University, Pune will be the guest speaker for the online event.
The National Education Policy, 2020, has ushered in reforms at different levels in the Indian Educational framework. A major feature of the policy is its focus on reinforcing ‘quality’ education in addition to access and equity as spelled out by the earlier policies in 1968, 1986, and 1992. With a strong focus on structural revamping at the school level, ‘flexibility’ and ‘multidisciplinary’ curriculum, a uniform regulatory body in higher education, and a proposed 4- year model at the undergraduate level among others, the policy marks an overhauling of the system. This webinar, open to all academicians, students, researches, and different stakeholders in education, endeavors to explore the different dimensions of this policy along with the challenges and possibilities.
