Reclaim Your Garden City

About the Event

Jain (Deemed-to-be University), School of Commerce is organizing “Reclaim Your Garden City” on 11 August 2019, during the Lalbagh’s Annual Flower Show.  University has been working incessantly since its inception, to bring about a positive transformation in the young minds by initiating such programs which will sensitize them to comprehend the beauty and importance of the Nature.

In the past, students have participated vibrantly both in de-weeding and planting saplings programs. Each time the activities were limited to areas that required merely a facelift.

However, this time considering the fact, that, the entire Bangalore city’s ecosystem is under threat, may it be in the quality of the air or the quantity of the water, we wanted to kick start a program of greater significance. Things which are on descend in Bangalore has to be reversed, is what our students are determined to do. Yes, it is ambitious, but, students are equally enthusiastic and courageous.

Lalbagh’s Annual Flower Show, being a premier event of our city, witnesses a large footprint of both localities and people from across the states. Such an environment we thought is a wise platform to uphold the bitter truth and rectify the deep-rooted discrepancies, thus breathe life back into Bangalore.
