National Science Day is celebrated in India every year on 28 February to memorialize and honor the findings of Sir. C V Raman who discovered the Raman Effect on 28 February 1930.
In connection to this, Department of Biotechnology-Center for Postgraduate Studies, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) in consortium with The Indian Science Congress Association, Bangalore Chapter organizes a Symposium to commemorate National Science Day on 28 February 2017.
The program will start with Invocation and lighting of the lamp. Dr. Mala Majumdar, Coordinator, Dept. of Biotechnology, CPGS, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) will give the welcome speech, the chief guest Prof. Gangadhar, General Secretary (Membership affairs, ISCA) will inaugurate the program. Dr. Varalakshmi KN Director, CPGS, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) will address the students. Dr. Ramakrishna S Convener, ISCA, Bangalore chapter, will give the vote of thanks. The symposium also includes invited lectures by Prof. Kumar Somasundaram Professor, Microbiology & Cell Biology, II Sc, Bangalore, Prof. Vasudeva Rao, Co-Founder, GRSV Consulting Services, Bangalore.
