Jain (Deemed-to-be University) celebrates Constitution Day - 2016

As per the guidance of ‘The Ministry of Human Resource Development’ NSS wing of Jain (Deemed-to-be University), J.C. Road, Bengaluru celebrated Constitution Day by conducting various activities like Face Painting Competition, Documentary Screening, and Pledge taking gathering . The details of the events are as follows:
Face Painting Competition:
Face Painting Competition was held for Undergraduate students on 19th Dec, 2016. Students conceptualized on ‘Fundamental Duties’ as per their knowledge on Indian Constitution. There was a good number of participation foregrounding student’s interest in creatively representing the importance of Fundamental Duties through an art form.
Screening of ‘SAMVIDHAN’- The Making of Indian Constitution:
The activities included screening of “SAMVIDHAN”, a ten-part television mini-series based on the making of “Indian Constitution”. The series was directed by “Shyam Benegal” to create awareness about Fundamental Rights and Duties of the citizens of India.
Pledge Taking By Teachers and Students:
Pledge was taken by the teachers and students of the University to affirm their faith in universal principle of civilized society. Pledge taking session also included the reading of eleven Fundamental Duties aiming towards creating responsible citizens who abide by law and order.
To conclude, celebration of ‘Constitution Day’ was indeed a great experience for both teachers and students and an opportunity to cherish our Fundamental Rights and to remind us our Fundamental Duties as citizens of India.
