Jain (Deemed-to-be University)'s School of Engineering and Technology Organized a Skill Development Program on 'Solar Vehicle Design and Development'

As a part of Student Research Association, Jain (Deemed-to-be University)'s School of Engineering and Technology in collaboration with Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers (ISIE) organized a two-day intra-collegiate skill development program on 'Solar Vehicle Design and Development' for Mechanical Engineering students on 11-12 November 2017.

Dr. Hariprasad S A, Director, School of Engineering and Technology Jain (Deemed-to-be University) inaugurated the program. Dr. A Ramprasad, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering welcomed the gathering. Prof. Ramesh Batakurki, Assistant Professor at SET and Program Coordinator who is also a South Zonal Head of ISIE India gave the overview of the skill development program. Mr. Manish Kumar who is a Lead engineer at R & D Division TVS Motors was the key speaker of the day.

During the workshop, the key speaker focused on the topics related to the green environment, transportation system and designing of the solar vehicle. The two-day workshop provided students an opportunity to learn various types of solar electric vehicles, manufacturing and design, and chassis design.

The students were able to understand the concepts thoroughly and appreciated the informative session which was concluded with a vote of thanks to the speaker by Professor Kaushik V Prasad.
