Jain (Deemed-to-be University) has been the learning destination for more than 13,530 students from over 38 countries. The University seeks to provide quality education, innovative research studies and build entrepreneurial development. The School of Commerce, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) presented annual academic scholarships to its deserving students. There were 236 recipients and the total scholarship amount was a total of INR 58,75,000. The students were addressed and the scholarships were presented by the Vice Chancellor of Jain (Deemed-to-be University), Col. (Hony.) Dr. N. Sundararajan, an eminent scholar and academician.
Col. (Hony.) Dr. N Sundararajan stated that Jain (Deemed-to-be University) aims to acknowledge and recognize academic talent in students by offering academic scholarships annually. In his address, he also mentioned that the heart of University is to motivate, encourage and provide facilities and overall development to each of the students, through inculcating ethical and moral values in them. Recently the University also established its off-campus at Kochi to provide the best for its students in a holistic way.
He concluded by advising them to maintain what they have secured and stay committed to doing their best in their endeavors, keeping in mind that performance in exams and improving their abilities is equally important to have a promising career.
Raghav, a II Year B.Com student who was awarded the scholarship said, “It is a kind of encouragement, recognition that I had received for performing well in my academics and doing justice to my course. Earning a merit-based scholarship helps me in getting good placement as it demonstrate employers that I have the exceptional skills and abilities in my domain.”
“Scholarship makes a big difference in my education. This encourages me to pursue higher studies of my choice without much depending on my parents for financial assistance. Now, I proudly can say my study is not by chance but by my choice” said, Sukruti, a II Year B.Com student.
