The main objective of the Connect to Careers is connect prospective employees with their employers. Connect to Careers plays a vital role in counseling and guiding the students for their successful career placement, which is a crucial interface for the students between the stages of completion of an academic program of studies and entry into suitable employment.
In line with this objective, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) had organized the fifth job fair for the benefit of students from Bhubaneswar (Odisha).
Gift Engineering College, Gangapada, Bhubaneswar, Odisha was chosen to host the event for the benefit of students of that region on 11 March 2017. More than 3100 students from towns surrounding Bhubaneswar participated in the job fair.
31 reputed companies including Infosys, HGS, L&T Finance, Bata, HP, HDFC Life, Concentrix, and Fidelity Business Services participated in the job fair to hire candidates for various profiles.
As part of the selection process students underwent written test and personal interviews. Spot offers were extended to 628 candidates. Apart from this 210 students were shortlisted for final rounds. It is expected that about 50 - 60 offers may be rolled out finally out of this short list.
Students from following colleges were officially invited along with other walk-in candidates.
Parents and students were very thankful to Jain (Deemed-to-be University) for organizing such an event for the benefit of young graduates.
