As a part of Words of Wisdom series, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) organized a guest lecture on 21 July 2017 on the topic 'Future of Home Technology'. The guest speaker for the day was Mr. Alex Lewis who is a sound engineer and a graduate from MIT Manipal and Managing Director at DNI Home Theatre.
Addressing the students, he advised them to have a passion for whatever they want to achieve in their life and focus on it. In his talk, he spoke about the smart house which is catered towards the convenience of the user which is a smarter way of leading life. During the session, he also mentioned his previous and current projects.
Emphasizing on the importance of being aware of new technologies in the market he urged to spread the knowledge and predicted how these technologies are going to be affordable in the near future and perhaps all of us will start leading a smarter life soon. He also talked about the significance of having smarter people to understand the smart technology.
At the end of the session, Mr. Lewis answered the students' questions and concluded it by motivating the students to do things with passion and become change makers.
