Jain (Deemed-to-be University)’s School of Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, School of Interior Design and Center for Postgraduate Studies organized Alumni Meet 2019 on 16 March 2019.
The Meet witnessed around 450 alumni participants. Vice Chancellor Dr. N. Sundararajan addressed the gathering and wished them for a bright future. He asked the alumni to take up responsibility to strengthen the alumni association. A video was played to showcase the growth of the Institution through various milestones achieved. The Alumni Association office bearers were felicitated and the agenda of the association was read. The Alumni Association President Mr. Tapan Hegde spoke about several initiatives taken by the association. Vice President of the association Mr. Manjunath Shenoy spoke about the achievements of several alumni of Jain University. He urged the alumni to take interest in placement activities of the campus and also assured support towards research activities, alumni talks etc.
Several other alumni spoke on the occasion. Some of them reminisced their good old college days while some of them described their career paths. Alumnus Mr. Sandeepani announced his gesture of offering Rs 5000/ towards the alumni association fund. Dr. B. T. Venkatesh advisor Examinations, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) in his response thanked him for the kind gesture and said that such funds would be used in a productive manner to help the needy. Some students performed in dance as part of the cultural events. A few alumni also performed during the Alumni Meet. All the office bearers were offered a plant sapling as a token of appreciation. The formal function was followed by interaction of the alumni with teachers.
