The alumni team of the Jain (Deemed-to-be-University) conducted its second successful event on career counseling on 23 November 2019 for the students of the 6 semester and 4 semester of various branches of Physical Science, Life Science and Forensic Science. Around 80 students actively participated in the event. Various speakers had given their insights on different career aspects after the Bachelors and Master’s degree.
The event was split into two sessions, the first half consisted of a general session for all the students and the second half consisted of a subject-specific session. In the first session, the students were enlightened about problems faced by researchers, funding issues and other aspects like choosing careers abroad and various career options they could choose from. Also, the students were advised on handling oneself psychologically in terms of choosing/shifting a job. In the second session personal opinions of the alumni were shared concerning the various job opportunities, future perspectives, and entrance examinations. A positive feedback was received from the students on the benefits of this event i.e it provided an idea of what the students can pursue in future concerning their higher education, the path to be taken for getting into premier institutes and the various job opportunities available for them in India and abroad.
