A group of 18 students at ISCTE – IUL, Portugal along with Prof. Jose Dias Curto visited India as a part of their study tour program.
As CMS Business School and ISCTE are members of NIBES (Network of International Business and Economic Schools) which facilitate study tours, the Bangalore leg of the tour was hosted by CMS Business School, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) during April 10-13, 2017.
The core objective of this study tour was to understand management practices unique to India and getting a glimpse of the culture firsthand.
Classroom sessions were conducted by Dr.B Raghavendra Rao, Prof. Krishna Koppa, and Dr. Ujjal Mukherjee. They focused on briefing them on prevalent management practices which were further reinforced by field visits. Session on modern history and culture was delivered by Dr. Soumya from Jain (Deemed-to-be University).
The management concepts were further reinforced by a field visit to Infosys, Mysore where they interacted with Mr. K.S. Sundar, Associate Vice President, Infosys Leadership Institute. They enjoyed the visit to the Mysore Palace. The students had a firsthand experience of understanding the business practices and cultural aspects of India.
