CMS Business School, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) organized an interactive session on competencies for new hires into an organization. The second semester began with an interactive session by Dr. G Balaji on ‘Competencies for New Hires into an Organization.’
Dr. G Balaji is a mechanical engineer with a Ph.D. in Management from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. His 30 year experience spans both academia as well as industry. He has been a faculty member at XLRI, Jamshedpur and MDI, Gurgaon. His industry experience includes Satyam Computers, Intel Technologies, and Fidelity Investments where he has headed the talent development functions. He has been a trainer and consultant for several Global MNCs, Indian MNCs, Private and Public Sector corporations.
He gave an overview of the competencies for new hires into an organization and on the process of acquiring these competencies. He also mentioned a few important pointers on how business students can use their time effectively to be successful in the corporate world.
