An Interactive session called ‘Evolve’, with the pre-final year students of engineering was conducted at the School of Engineering and Technology, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) on 25 May 2016. Mr. Vikram Poojary, Human Resources - Talent Acquisition, Cognizant Technology Solutions was present and introduced the speaker, Mr. Roopesh, Talent Manager for Quality Engineering and Assurance team at Cognizant Bangalore. He is been with cognizant for last five years and has a total work experience of ten years. He has previously worked with companies like Capgemini, Sony Ericson, and Accenture.
Evolve session was about the importance of essential behavior skills and day to day interpersonal skills expected in corporate transition apart from technical knowledge. It also provided students an overview of the industry and emerging new trends so that they can gain some exposure to those topics of relevance. The session went on for 90 – 120 minutes with at least 200 students. Evolve has resulted in creating high impact and great awareness among students.
