Inauguration of Campus Placements 2016-17 & Installation of CAPS Forum

Aarambh was organized to inaugurate the Commencement of 2016-17 Campus Placements at JGI Knowledge Campus. Dr. Easwaran Iyer – Dean Commerce & Director – Placements, Dr. B A Vasu, Center Head – SCS, Jain (Deemed-to-be University), Dr. Jitendra Mishra, Director – MIME and Mr. R T N Surendran Unni from Via Media Communications, were the chief guests at the event.

The event started with a welcome note by Ms. Priya J Shetty from CAPS Team, followed by lighting of the lamp by chief guests. Mr. Vishal Arora, Chief Manager – Corporate Relations, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) gave a very elaborate and informative talk about Jain (Deemed-to-be University)’s placement record. He also informed the students about the various companies who visit Jain (Deemed-to-be University) to recruit the students and the various events that are going to take place in the coming year.

Dr. Easwaran Iyer, officially announced the commencement of 2016-17 Campus Placements. He gave a speech on the importance of placement team and how invaluable their service to Jain (Deemed-to-be University) has been and advised the students on how to equip themselves to face the future.

Dr. Jitendra Mishra has also spoken to the students on how they could utilize time efficiently and be prepared for the future. Dr. Vasu wished the students for a great placement season ahead and inaugurated the CAPS Forum.

Mr. R T N Surendran Unni addressed the students on how they could cope up with interviews, and, on how the students could make the experience enjoyable. He also shared a personal experience with the students where he emphasized on values such as patience and punctuality. Mr. Surendran gave the students few tips and examples of how to implement them. His tips and examples had a sense of humor which made the students giggle under their breath.

Mr. Surendran educated students on how body language and eye contact are very crucial during an interview and gave the students tips and hints on how to impress the interviewer. He even told the students about his secret formula which is A2+B2+C2, where the A’s stand for attitude and attire, and the B’s stand for behavior and bio data, and the C’s stand for communication and confidence. He told the students that if they perfected this formula that they would be able to make any interview or job presentation enjoyable.

Mr. Bheemesh Sathya from CAPS Team presented Mr. R T N Surendran Unni with a memento, which was followed by the Vote of Thanks given by Mrs. Archana Chandrasekhar from CAPS Team.
