International Climate Change Conference: An In-depth Review

The Department of Economics at Jain (Deemed-to-be University) School of Humanities and Social Sciences organized a conference of an international scale in association with Vladimir State University, Russia and Ecumenical Christian Centre, Bangalore on “Climate Change: Impacts, Vulnerability, and Adaptation. The three-day event witnessed expert panels from various academic institutes, sectors, professors, environmentalists speaking in-depth about the most debated topic of our time.

The conference looked at enhancing the level of awareness while finding solutions and policies for climate change-resilient sustainable development in the near-term, long-term, at regional and global levels. The participating members of the panel also spoke extensively about the immediate challenge which is to evolve the cutting edge solutions at micro and macro levels to reduce the vulnerability of mankind and adaption to the new reality for sustainable development.

Prof. Dr. Mathew Chandrankunnel CMI, Director, ECC delivered the welcome address.

Dr. Xavier V K, Professor & Head, Department of Economics, JAIN (Deemed to-be University) gave the opening remarks to the conference.

Dr. Evgeny Arinin, from State University of Vladimir, Russia delivered the presidential address and spoke on the Ecology Spirit of Russia.
