The role of women in the world today is immense. She, on the one hand, manages the affairs of her family, and on the other, manages the affairs of her profession at the place of work. This is a sure evidence that women are strong and able.
In connection to this, The International Women’s Day is celebrated to commemorate the strengths of women and, Saadhana – a Women’s Cell had organized an educational event to educate the women staff and students on issues related to women health on 8 March 2017 at the School of Commerce Studies, Jain (Deemed-to-be University).
Prof. and Dr. Shashikala Karanth and Prof and Dr. Sheryl from the Department of Gynecology, St. John’s Medical College and Hospital spoke to the audience about Anemia, its impact on women’s health, the importance of proper diet and healthy eating habits and their effect on reducing health issues related to Anemia.
Dr. Geeta Madhusudhan, Head, Department of Sanskrit welcomed the gathering and Prof. Rajeshwari Y.M., Coordinator, Saadhana Women’s Cell proposed the Vote of Thanks.
