Jain (Deemed-to-be University)’s School of Engineering and Technology and JU Incubator had organized Inventech IC - 2018, an ideation contest’s award ceremony on 7 April 2018.
The main objective of this contest was to identify idea that can be incubated and commercialized. It was open to all engineering branches (both students and faculty) of School of Engineering and Technology to submit innovative ideas.
More than 40 members participated in the event. Prior to the event the short synopsis sent by the individual team was reviewed by the jury team and selected top-3 ideas from both the ECE and IT departments.
The event started with lighting the lamp by Prof. N V H Krishnan, Registrar - Jain (Deemed-to-be University) and followed by, Dr. Sridhara Murthy, Senior Professor delivered a talk about the overview of Inventech event. The Chief Guest for the event was Mr. Amaresh Ojha, a fitness enthusiast and an IIM Bangalore alumnus, founder of Gympik- the largest online fitness discovery platform in India. He addressed the gathering about how an idea can lead to incubation.
A gift card of worth INR 1000/- , 750/- and 500/- was awarded to the winner, 1st runner up and 2nd runner up respectively from both ECE and IT departments with a certification of appreciation by Jain (Deemed-to-be University) and JU Incubator. All the awardees and the meritorious mention ideas will be taken to the next level. Finally, the vote of thanks by Dr. Rajasimha A Makaram, Associate Director, SET - Jain (Deemed-to-be University).
