Jain (Deemed-to-be University)’s School of Sciences organized its annual two-day intercollegiate Fest Kritya 2018 under the banner of Taru Samskriti with the theme ‘Mythology’on 20 and 21 February 2018.
The Fest was inaugurated by Dr. Asha Rajiv, Director, School of Sciences and Dr. Rajani Jayaram, Student Welfare Officer, School of Sciences. The dignitaries also inaugurated the photography club ‘Marcographia’ an initiative by the students of the School of Sciences during the event.
The Fun filled Kritya witnessed various offstage and onstage events which explored the beauty and breathtaking vastness of mythology.
The offstage events included Oculus (Photography), Chitralekha (Movie Making), Find the Treassact (Treasure Hunt), Antakshari and Illusions of Loki (Face Painting). The onstage events included events like Cantata (Western Solo Singing), Jatre (Street Play), Mead of Poetry (Slam Poetry), Imperius (Monoacting), Expressio (Solo Dance Battle), Cos Play, JAM, Indian Duet Dance, Group Singing, Be You (Personality), Duet Singing, Western Group Dance and Disguise (Fashion Show).
The Fest provided a platform for the holistic expression of talent besides bringing together the students of various colleges to celebrate creativity, innovation and sportsmanship.
All participants were seen to compete in the true spirit of sportsmanship and vied for the rolling trophy. The Surana College emerged victorious as the overall champions and took over the rolling trophy for yet another year.
The amazing Fest concluded with a valedictory function which was followed by prize distribution to winners.
