Launches its New Initiative Ellipses - a Literary Forum
Jain (Deemed-to-be University)'s School of Sciences has recently inaugurated a literary forum 'Ellipses' - which is a new initiative of Department of English. The core objective of the forum is to provide a platform to students to exhibit their talent. The inauguration took place on 9 November 2017 with the lighting of the lamp which was followed by various cultural activities.
The event included activities such as western group singing, spoken word poetry or slam poetry, novel reading, solo performances and a game called 'guess the act' where students acted out instances from popular literature and the like.
Mr. Angshuman Sharma from Atria Campus delivered his beautiful poetry and won laurels in 'spoken word poetry' competition. Student involvement was quite remarkable during the event. The forum has planned to conduct more such activities in the near future to provide avenues to students to showcase their creativity and talent.
