To experience village life and to create awareness about women empowerment 16 cadets of 1 coy 9 Kar Bn NCC Jain (Deemed-to-be University) took a bicycle expedition from Bengaluru to Turuvekere which covered the distance of 260 km back and forth. The 6-day expedition was accompanied by 1 ANO and 2 PL staff, Jain (Deemed-to-be University).
This activity helped the cadets adapt to change as they moved from the city to the village and had an opportunity to experience serene of nature. The cadets visited the ashram and had a delightful interaction with Guruji and are inspired by his stories, most importantly the influence of Swami Vivekananda’s teachings raising the ashram.
They also interacted with the children over there and taught them about different facial expressions used while dancing. Later they showcased a small play about women empowerment which they had practiced especially for the students.
The cadets were glad to know how the milk dairy works and also got a chance to interact with different kinds of people which helped to improve their interpersonal skills as well.
The cadets successfully completed the 6-day bicycle expedition with greater enthusiasm.
