The NCC wing of Jain (Deemed-to-be University) recently organized a short film competition on 'My Contribution towards Making India Clean' in pursuit of achieving the vision of our Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi 'Swachh Sankalp se Swachh Siddhi' on 31 August, 2017. Cadets of 1COY 9KAR BN NCC along with Captain Rekha Sinha were present during the program.
The objective of the program is to create awareness among the citizens about keeping the India clean. 'Swachh Bharat' was a dream of the father of our nation Mahatma Gandhi, when he called for Quit India Movement. So, Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, involves the citizens of India to commit themselves towards a better tomorrow.
The Chief Guest of the program was Lt. Colonel James who is the Commanding Officer of 9KAR BN NCC. The judges for the event were Mr. Ram Chiru and Mr. Kiran P.B from the south Indian film industry. Dean of Languages Dr. Mythili P Rao also accompanied the judges.
There were 20 participants from various troops and companies. The spectacular event showcased, so many short films through which the cadets were exposed to many different views and were motivated to do more towards keeping India clean. The program was concluded on a promising note that each one of us must commit towards making this dream a reality.
