Nudi Sambhrama – Kannada Habba 2018

The celebration moment fills in air at Jain (Deemed-to-be University)

A Kannada extravaganza titled “Nudi Sambhrama – Kannada Habba” hosted by Department of Kannada, School of Commerce, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) on 5 December 2018. The Chief Guests Sri Hiremagaluru Kannan (Kannan Mama), a renowned Kannada scholar, Mr. Vijay Raghavendra, a notable actor, Mr. Vyasaraj, a notable singer, and other department faculty members inaugurated the program.

The key speaker of the fest, Sri Hiremagaluru Kannan, drenched the audience in laughter through his witty speech in Kannada. He noted that one’s feeling of expression towards our Kannada language and literature will make it sustain forever.  In tone with literature, soaked into the words of wit and wisdom, Sri Hiremagaluru Kannan insisted the young minds to cultivate a wise living lifestyle. He also motivated the students to stay determined, through many real life examples to achieve and be successful.

Mr. Vijay Raghvendra, a notable actor, expressed his feeling towards Kannada literature and language that, “Kannada language is one among the oldest language and it will grow in all aspects in future too. Recognition and celebration of the language is the need of the hour. All Kannada and non-kannada speakers should use ‘Kannada’ as mode of communication to strengthen our rich heritage. ”

The audience were enthralled by the puzzle based literary game, organized by infusing creative drawing skills of Prof. B. K. Somashekar, Department of Animation, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) and the key speaker, Sri Hiremagaluru Kannan himself.

As a part of the fest, special performers performed unique artistic cultural folk programs like ‘Dollu kunnitha, Huli vesha kunitha’, ‘Kamsale’ in the campus premises. The essence of rich traditional Kannada culture was evident among the college students and other faculty members of the campus.
