SAMASHTI – The Student Council, School of Commerce Studies, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) organized Anveshana – 2017 on 3 August 2017. Various off stage and on stage events were conducted by the Council to find the best talent among the freshers crowd.
This fest was intended for the Jain (Deemed-to-be University) freshers to get to know about the new college and get accustomed to their surroundings. The events were designed in a way to get the best out of the individuals and to assess various levels of stress management and creativity.
The fest began with the inauguration and invoking the Lord's blessings. The chief guest for the day was Pt. Pravin Godkhindi, a world renowned flutist who graced the occasion and performed a small recital as well. The audience witnessed jaw dropping flute recital thus giving a grand opening for the day.
The management fest comprised of events such as Public Relations, Human Resources, Finance, Entrepreneurship Development, Marketing, Business Quiz, Best Manager and amalgamation of all these events.
Apart from these management events, there were 20 cultural events namely Pot Pourri, SpEnt Quiz, Collage, Cooking without Fire etc. Along with these events, 5 IT events including Haunted Labs, Code wars, FIFA, Counter Strike etc., were conducted during the fest.
The On Stage events for Anveshana was Jain Idol – solo singing competition, Solo dance, Personality Hunt, Best Manager and Fashion Fiesta, which was organized for the first time.
Every event had the roaring audience applauding their classmates and friends. The judges for the events were the alumni members of Jain (Deemed-to-be University) which added color to the fest. The events were knitted in a perfect way to cater different genre of culture highlighting a sketching event which was sponsored by iPlanet.
One of the most entertaining celebrities of Bengaluru, Danish Sait graced the occasion. While he was entertaining the audience, he also promoted his upcoming movie Humble Politician Nograj. He was awestruck with the response of audience where he entertained more than 500 members gathered in the venue.
Nearly 60 students were awarded certificates and mementos as winners and runners. This event ended with a new standard of achievement with greater participation, best response and notable appreciation.
