SET, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) Organized a Training Session on 'Hardware Assembling and OS Installation'
A team of faculty members and senior students of School of Engineering and Technology, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) organized a Training Session on 'Hardware Assembling and OS Installation' on 16 September, 2017 for the students of Computer Science and first-year Mechanical Engineering students.
The first session exposed the students to hardware assembling of computer and four-stroke engine through the assembling and disassembling of CPU. The session also included the lecture on the parts of CPU along with fun activities on how to build a computer virtually.
The students got a chance to disassemble and learn about different parts of the CPU with the help of senior students. In another session, senior students showcased them how to install the operating system, how to make pen drive bootable and create a partition through programming in a laptop. The last session was on cybersecurity wherein they discussed various aspects of hacking.
Overall, the training session was effective and interesting with insights drawn into hardware assembling, OS installation, and cybersecurity.
